I received a report to list your laptop as stolen due to it not having been returned despite numerous attempts to contact you. Before submitting the details to the authorities, I wanted to make one last attempt to connect with you. Currently, per Texas law, theft between $500 and $1500 is considered to be a Class A Misdemeanor. In Texas, Class A misdemeanors are punishable by up to one year in jail, a fine of up to $4,000, or both jail time and a fine.
I am required to submit my report at the end of each month. If I have not heard back by 5 PM on this Friday I will have no choice but to include your laptop in the report.
Instructions for equipment return:
A. If you were sent your laptop by mail, please find the pre-paid return label inside the box and place it in the sleeve on the box, with your laptop and charger inside. Drop off the box at your nearest FedEx location (note: most Walgreens stores will also allow drop-offs; find a participating location here)
B. If you do not have a box and return label, visit the closest FedEx shipping location. They will be able assist with boxing up your laptop and charger to ship to our office. Give them our FedEx account number and the cost will be charged to AWL.
